A New Start!

A new year is starting! Looking back, this year is (not yet past tense, my dear English teacher) really fast. I could still remember collecting my A level results, taking long rides across the choppy water to Tekong for BMT. And as usual, it'll end with countless, endless, infinite of things that I've promised myself I'll do within this year, but looking at my schedule and my priority ranking, looks like its a no go for them! This always happen, doesnt it? New Year Resolutions that go undone, unchecked and forgotten once it hits 2nd Jan... thus, I do not really set resolutions, I just form ideas in my mind and keep them there, occasionally surfacing them for a breather and hey, who knows they just might be implemented! Of course, regrets are unavoidable, but thats how it goes, no? Life is always full of regrets, mistakes, blunders, I think. Thats what make them so enjoyable. Imagine perfection, the thought sends shudders. Dull and mundane. Spontaneity is what I like the bes...

Nature vs Nurture

Do you think all man are born evil but because there are consequences of doing evil things, i.e. being jailed, fined, ostrasized, looked down upon etc so we don't do them? Or do you think we are good by nature but because the benefits of doing evil things outweigh the benefits of being good so we stray and become bad? _______________________________________________________________________________________ One question posed by a friend on her blog. But anyhow, here are my views. I think that all man are not born inherently evil or good. I think that man are born intelligent, with the ability to think and weigh in factors that may lead to an outcome that can be described as "good" or "evil". Man, are by majority "good". I ...

Time Travel!

Time travelling was a recent thought that had, like any other good, substantial thoughts sprung into my head one day when I was bathing. It was so persistent, nagging at the back of my head that I had to Google it the moment I booked out. I instinctively clicked the first link that popped up and it directed me to Wiki, which made me regret my course of action. I simply could not force pages and pages of dry, crusty theoretical physics into my head, feeling duller by the sentence, I decide to draw my own conclusions based on influences by various media sources. First and foremost, which is the most important point, travelling through time is not possible at all. Why? 1) You do not actually "move" physically into a specified period of time, say, 1960s or 2254. What does happen, assuming travelling through time was possible, was that you, as the test subject in the present would have to be destroyed. And another "you" would have to be constructed in another period of t...
