Getting inked?
I have been toying with the idea for quite some time now. I know most people will express shock and disapproving shakes of the head.
Hmmm, I myself rejected the idea itself, seeing that it may prove to be a wrong choice years later or even immediately.
But I feel that the difficult thing in inking myself is not to the choice, but to live with the choice that I have made.
Of course this doesnt mean that I will be going down to some shop to get myself inked this weekend. Its just a thought that I'm toying with. Who knows? Could very well be a transient phase I'm feeling, fed up with the good boy/JC kid image I portray. haha.
You cant say its "rebellious". Who defined that getting inked can be termed as "rebellious"?
If piercing earlobes were frowned upon, not the "thing" people who come from "good" families do, and you went ahead anyway, are you considered "rebelling"?
You see my point? Why is it that doing something not accepted within the society; but not neccessary wrong, frowned upon? ie, tattoo, eye/nipple pierce, homosexual relationships, large age gap relationships, early parenthood (like having kid/s at 22)
Why is it not seen as "pioneering" or "unique"? Or simply that these individuals know what they want, they know what they would like to achieve by a certain time period.
Of course there are also individuals that commit these acts under impulse, not thinking when it happened, did not consider the consequences, under the influence of alcohol etc.
So yes, I shall expect myself to be toying with the idea of inking in the future.
My mom would wring my neck if she found out. haha.
Maybe I would like a skull? :)
